The Sandbar catered a small gathering of family at the house we rented and the food was fantastic. Erika and her team were super easy to work with, flexible and delivered a first rate meal for us. It was a hit with our guests..."best meal we had all week!" was the common feedback. Thanks to the Sandbar crew for finishing out our Hilton Head week in a very positive and tasteful way! Can't say enough.....highly recommended.

The food alone would get 5 stars. The experience brought down our rating. We arrived and told them we had 12 in our party. The hostesses were pretty blunt and said we would have a 30-35 minute wait unless we wanted to sit on the patio directly in the sun. No problem, we decided to wait and ordered drinks from the outside bar. Another large party arrived after us and did the same. After about 45 minutes, our table was ready. We walked in and were seated at two booths back to back. They didn’t ask when we got there if being seated separate was ok. Essentially, our party was split up. We said something to the hostess and she said even though the party behind us got there after, they would be seated at the long table. Our waiter was friendly but slow. The food was really good, but I paid $20 for the shrimp and fries and for the price the plate was small. Could have thrown in a salad or second side to make the food match the price.

Awesome atmosphere, mediocre food. The menu is nice but the execution is poor. I had the full rack of ribs and they were incredibly soft and unflavored ultra.. The BBQ sauce slathered on top was super sweet and I wasn't a fan. The Jamaican jerk chicken pasta tasted misaligned with any other jerk I've had.

The musician they bring in made it a absolutely worth the trip.
