The Sea Shack

Delicious is an understatement. Everything is amazing! Catfish, scallops, and shrimp, along with cheese grits and seasoned rice was OUT OF THIS WORLD! This was our first time and we will be coming back every time we vacation to Hilton Head Island.

Been eating here at least once a year for about 8 years since our guide on a tour recommended it. To be in first seating you need to be there around 4:45 for 5:00 opening. Food has always been good. You get your own drinks and refills and clear your table when finished. Prices are good for what you get based on pricing at other local restaurants. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Delicious, delicious delicious!!! A no-frills, down to earth Ma and Pa type feel with very reasonable prices, large portions (even for the kiddos!) and food that tastes amazing. Can't ask for anything more. We've been once so far on our week long vacation and are going back again before we head home!

We are frequent visitors to Hilton Head and always eat at the same restaurants. I kept hearing awesome reviews of The Sea Shack and we decided to try out last week. We went for lunch and only had to wait in line outside may be 5 minutes. There's only a handful of tables inside but thankfully we were able to grab a table as several were available. My husband ordered the fish-and-chips and the portion was huge, the batter had a delicious flavor and the fish was very fresh tasting. My oldest son got the fried shrimp basket and had a huge portion as well (14!) and he said they were also delicious. My youngest got a hot dog and well, a hot dog is pretty much a hot dog! I'm not a seafood eater so I got a cheeseburger and it was huge, fresh and delicious! I love the variety of side item (salad, fries, cheese grits, collared greens,, glazed carrots, coleslaw, etc). And if you like sweet tea then you must try it here! It is for sure the best southern sweet tea on the island! The Sea Shack is a hidden gem and we will for sure be back!

This place is absolutely fantastic! It's on the smaller end so there is a bit of a wait but it is completely worth it and hardly an inconvenience. The food is exceptional. It comes in large portions at a price that can be expected of a vacation destination. Personally, I had the shrimp burger and it was incredible. I highly recommend The Sea Shack to anyone visiting Hilton Head island.
