Viva Tacos & Tequila

Nicest Mexican bar and grill I have ever been too! Fast and friendly service even with being slammed. Loads of tasty margaritas to choose from. No other place I'd rather be for Taco Tuesday!

We visited on opening week and had a great experience. I expected a bit of a wait for food and drinks, since they’re a newly opened restaurant, but everything was quick and efficient. We ordered a lot of items, and everything was crazy delicious. The highlights were the grilled carnitas burrito, the tamale and the spicy margaritas. I’ve been waiting months for Viva to open... ever since moving to Daniel Island lol They did not disappoint. I’ll be a regular!

Off to a good start. Still getting folks trained and working out quality control issues, but no doubt a great addition to the DI, probably larger CHS, Mexican food scene. The menu was decently large and diverse, the margarita list was solid and creative. Everything was well prepared. As long as the quality remains high and the staff and systems get sorted, should be pretty go-to.

We went to Viva last night on their opening night and the place was absolutely packed with a line out the door. Even so, we were able to get drinks at the bar while waiting for our table and were sat fairly quickly. Our food (chipotle enchiladas) and margaritas were delicious and the food came out very quickly which was surprising for how busy the place was! Our waiter, Diego, was great and very attentive. We will definitely be back!

So the food we got for take away was excellent. Unfortunately when we got home we did not get everything we ordered. We ordered 5 tacos and got 4. Of those 4 tacos we got any extra steak and did not get our fish or chicken. Since they literally just opened we will definitely be back and give them another try.
