“This place is nice. I was greeted and seated promptly. They have a large menu selection. I got the burrito la band era with steak. It was very good. The chips and salsa were good. They gave me a small cup of hot and a small cup of mild salsa. The mild tasted like tomato past but the hot salsa has an awesome flavor and did not singe the nerves in my mouth. The bill came out to $15. It was worth it.”

“Owners have changed, which is unfortunate. Old owners had been here since it was Remount Garden on Remount Road in North Charleston. They were super friendly. Some of the food, namely the chicken wings and duck sauce, is not the same. The food is still better than all of the other local buffets. Smaller selection, but all of it is delicious. The duck sauce used to be home made under the old owners. Not sure if it still is, but the taste is way different. Still better than the packets of stuff you get everywhere else. Prices are in line with other Chinese buffets. Overall, I recommend this place.”

The cook brought us our food...after we had to ask where it was and the waitress waiting tables around us was less than eager to help her teammate .”

“My visit this evening was all right... the courteous employees made up for the fact that I had to wait about 15 to 20 min. only to get a crispy 8- piece bucket/two sides/4 biscuits, and a 10 piece of hot wings. Instead of just the 10 piece they gave me 20 to make up for the long wait. I guess it could have been worse...”

“I love this restaurant, because I like the BBQ that’s vinegar based! They have a decent buffet, kinda pricey, $14.50 a person seems a little high, to me it does anyway. They have what I’d call soul food items, chicken, collards,mac-n-cheese, and other items like that. I definitely recommend giving them a try for yourself, especially if you like the vinegar bbq, but they have other good stuff too. Their lemonade is awesome!”

“We were a little reluctant to try Gilligan’s because of some of the reviews, but we’re glad that we decided to go see for ourselves. The Bacon Wrapped Crab Stuffed Shrimp was possibly the best appetizer I’ve ever had. Who would’ve thought that you could combine three of my favorite things into one delicious morsel. The Shrimp and Flounder was also delicious and more than I could eat. The Mozzarella Sticks were also the best that we’ve ever had. My wife had the Grilled Chicken and it was cooked to perfection. The waitress (I don’t recall her name) was friendly and courteous. Although we were seated away from the rest of her section she didn’t forget about us. She makes a pretty good margarita, too. The manager came and checked on us and was polite and courteous as well. The location was great with a great view. Next time that we’re in Moncks Corner we’ll be visiting Gilligan’s again.”

“I come from San Jose, CA which is right next door to San Francisco which is where Chinese food as we know it came from. The Chinese immigrants came to SF and adjusted their home food to add wonder to our American culture. This place for being in a small town in SC didn't disappoint. It seems to be family owned and ran. The menu has a ton of great chooses. They need a website or online menu, but other than that it reminded me of a typical Chinese restaurant. Staff was some what friendly, but that's what I mostly get from these types of restaurants. Don't take it personal just get your food and go. I'm glad we found this place because we come here a few time a year from Charleston.”

“For me personally, I just have to say that I love Chic-fil-a!!! Their food tastes wonderful, their staff and employees are awesome!!! Especially the one in M.C. The only that I don’t like, or that bothers me, even though it tastes good, and I’ll still pay full price for it, is that their meal combos are more expensive than other chain type restaurants. The combo meal that I enjoy, and always buy, is almost $10.00 by itself. Other than that, it’s hands down my favorite chain type of restaurant.”
