Bertha's Kitchen

Great food. About 10 bucks a person average. Food tastes like 40 dollars a plate food! Seafood Saturday is awesome. Best cornbread in Charleston!

You only visit this place once as a stranger; after that you are part of the family. I stayed only two days in Charleston, but Bertha's food was so good that I had to go back the second day. The staff recognized me and greeted my family with wonderful southern charm. Do not leave without trying the yams, mac and cheese, and cornbread. Everything on the menu is delicious, so you just can't go wrong. Try it on vacation, and you just might find yourself driving back to Charleston for another taste of Bertha's.

If you want some down home Southern cooking, Bertha's Kitchen is definitely the spot!! The food was seasoned to perfection and the customer service was exceptional!!
I had the pleasure of meeting one of the sisters and she made me feel right at home.

When I walked in the line was to the door. It was moving but not fast. The menu was a little hard to understand, so I had to ask a customer. I wanted a particular plate but I also wanted to add sides. I was not clear on how much things cost because their prices were not listed. The staff was lovely, and I ordered the food I wanted. Food was decent. I did enjoy the Pork n Beans & Sausage, but they gave me a ton a rice and very little beans. I would like to visit again, but I am in no rush.

The food and service was good. The staff was very attentive to us. They greeted us when we came in and when we left. We will definitely go back.
