Super delish! Friendly atmosphere, great culture, and awesome vibes! You can really tell the love put in the food from Craig. The ingredients all taste super fresh, and the bread is incredibly fluffy and tasty. Would recommend to try this place out if you haven't!
If you want great food made by a great person, look no further. Craig’s upbeat attitude is infectious and it shows in his food. Cold Shoulder Gourmet is a one person show and I honestly couldn’t imagine it any other way. Craig brings a pallet of local artisans to the table and never tries to overshadow them. He’s very transparent about the fact that he just brings together great ingredients that are already there. Again what he does bring is a contagious upbeat attitude for delicious ingredients that combined makes some bomb sandos!
Today I had the distinct pleasure of sampling the wonderful Cold Shoulder Gourmet! This exciting eatery produces the finest subs in the area all made with fresh, local ingredients that leave you feeling satisfied with every bite. The bread is baked fresh at Saffron Bakery! I love being a Yelp Elite member because it opens doors and opportunities to meet amazing individuals like the owner Craig Edmonds. He’s such an amazing and kind man from Nairobi, Kenya. His food speaks to his passion for great cuisine and his customer service is world class. He’s been living in Charleston for 10 years, but you would feel like he’s a lifetime resident with his charm. He’s the genius behind the design of the entire shop and his touch is felt through every aspect of this place. Please come pay a visit because the Cold Shoulder will give you a warm welcome!
Amazing! It’s hard to find local sandwich shops with quality meat nowadays. Also great to have such a wonderful sandwich shop that’s not downtown. Just pull up and plenty of parking available. Service was also very quick. Owner was so kind and gave us free espresso! He bagged the sandwiches so that they were easy for us to eat. It’s the little things that count! This Charleston native approves. I will definitely be back :)
As an avid foodie and someone who enjoys trying new restaurants I was very excited to try Cold Shoulder Gourmet. The owner greeted me upon arrival with a warm smile. I took a brief look at the menu and decided to order the Classic. I loved that the sandwich was wrapped at more of an Italian style so that it was easy to eat. The sun-dried tomatoes and balsamic pairs perfectly with the fresh mozzarella that they make. There's a hint of I believe is basil that's grown locally which will always a plus. It's probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while.
I didn't snap pictures of the food today but I will the next time I come.
