This place is a hidden gem. The outdoor seating by the marsh is a killer view. Best crab cake sandwich I’ve had in years!
Delicious food! Glad we stopped. I got the lump crab cake dinner and it was so good! Our waitress Mary was very nice.
This place was a pleasant surprise! We had great food with a great view! We will definitely be coming back. It’s nice because it’s off the beaten path too!
Just moved to the area and was looking for a special place for good, local food. Specifically fried oysters. Off a busy Harbor View Road, the tables are out back with a million dollar view. Here you feel as though you're a world away. I'm a professional single woman and I usually eat alone. My waitress was very patient while I sipped my Martini and reviewed the menu. Lots of local, usual favorites like crab cakes, various fresh fish, oysters (Yes!) and typical lowcountry sides. My meal was priced very fairly (under $20}, my drink and glass of wine were on happy hour, the pleasant breeze wafted over me as I gazed at the marsh and I was happy and we'll taken care of. Oysters were plentiful and delicious. Took a to go box even. Ellis is part of a restaurant group that includes the Boathouse on Isle of Palms at which I have dined frequently so I knew this place would be good. Totally a lovely early evening. I plan to bring my land locked friends here when they come to visit next month. They are sure to get a taste of the lowcountry in more ways than one!
Great views of the marsh and great food... But service was pretty slow. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but there was only 1 server for the whole place and it was packed at opening. Guessing an employee scheduling problem I hope? Would definitely be willing to give it another shot though despite that!
