Great cafe option if you are looking for something quick versus the mostly sit down restaurants I found in Charleston. Just had a sausage egg and cheese and it was amazing. Sausage is homemade and great. Also blueberry muffin was amazing.
We've been eating lunch and breakfast here. Everything we've tried is delicious and well prepared. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife loves the Tomato Pie. A must try for sure. Everything is hearty portions.
One of the best kept secrets of the city. The place is kind of a hole in the wall that you would not look twice at passing by. Their grits and pastries are some of the best in the city. Be sure and try a glass of their famous not too sweet tea.
It may seem small and perhaps slightly shabby from the street, but anything they produce is absolutely delicious. I have been craving their carrot cake pancakes for almost a year now, and can't wait to return. The foods are both classics and unique combinations of southern flavor. The staff (the owners) were extremely friendly and welcoming of us midwestern travelers. It was slightly crowded, but if you get there early you won't have as long of a wait!
Loved this place. Highly recommend. Split the tomato pie, fried green tomato with shrimp sandwich and the maple and bacon pancakes. Fantastic. This place isn't much to look at tucked in next to a convenience store, but it's comfortable and the food is amazing. The staff is off the charts friendly. Take their advice on what order and you'll be happy, happy.
