(July 13, 2019, 11:33 pm)This was my first time here, even growing up on James Island. I promise, this will NOT be my last! I had brisket from Chili's 2 nights before. I paid double at Chili's compared to Melvin's. There was NO comparison. Melvin's was tastier, moister than Chili's. I love brisket & it is hard to find someone to do it right. Well, my search is over. PLUS, the cashier was SO friendly. I will definitely be going back!

(July 13, 2019, 5:55 pm)Delicious barbecue… Good atmosphere… Free toppings bar. Air-conditioning struggles on a hot day though… Prepare to sweat in the dining room. Avoid the grilled chicken sandwich, it’s was tough and dry. Red beets on the toppings bar is a treat. A Sandwich with no sides will run you $8… Platters are about $12. If you’re not careful, it can get pricey. Convenient location on Folly Road with plenty of parking nearby.

(June 25, 2019, 8:54 pm)A few months ago I gave them 1 star because the food was terrible... went there a few times and it was consistently awful... BUT...
They have definitely stepped up their game over the past couple of months and I have enjoyed the brisket and the burgers. Short of 5 stars but definitely getting there. -
