Food was great and the service was excellent. My husband had the quail with red rice and garlic bread while I had the pork chops with squash casserole and thunder...both were very good. The chops were crispy, nicely spiced and juicy. The quail was crispy and the red rice had a nice bite to it. We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Nice big slices with a crispy batter and pimento cheese on top...yum! Levi was a fantastic waiter...funny and made the meal so enjoyable. Too full to try the desserts but I'm sure they are probably as good as the meal was.

3:00 in the afternoon on a weekday is apparently the best time to hit up The Glass Onion because that's when we went and we were literally the only people in the place. Now.. normally that would have scared me away because that means they aren't turning over their food fast enough, but I figured since it was featured in Diners Drive Ins and Dives it had to be busy normally we just caught it funny. So in we went! Y'all. Stop it right now. Made to order. Fresh. Seasoned properly, from scratch, delicious. Already on cloud 9 we decided to order the chocolate peanut butter pie, now normally I'm not a dessert person much less a pie person but I literally asked to speak to the chef so I could smack her. I wanted to smack her it was that damn good. #takemymoneyThe menu changes daily depending on what the chef gets locally sourced but I'm here to tell you it's all delicious! The okra fritter if they have it in the menu when you are there get it! The pork belly? Yes please! Get it all and lick the plate! You won't be sorry!

The atmosphere was not romantic at all, I wish it was a little nice in the inside. That being said, the food was fantastic! I recommend the cornbread. The price for food was a little on the high side, but it really was delicious. I would like to see a few more options, particularly vegetarian options.

Great West Ashley gem. Very good southern fare using local ingredients. Friendly service. Best friend catfish in town. A little pricey, but the food is great.

Outstanding gem of a spot! Had the pork chop, braised collards and mashed redskin potatoes. Would order the same meal three times per day and a fourth on Sundays. My friend had the catfish and was over the moon! Everything was hot and well seasoned! Couple next to us kept talking about how good their food was. They both had the catfish. Nice people, nice place, delicious lunch. Couldn’t stop consuming the fries. French fries have an old-bay type spice.
