    We have been to several restaurants downtown Charleston and the food here at the Mason Jar is the best we have had. Home cooking. Heck yes. Service is awesome.

    It's a hole-in-the-wall place with great food! It's got a real down-home country feel. The food is cooked to order so it takes a little longer to get to you, but it comes out hot and fresh!

    Have been here twice now..... first time had southern fried chicken livers.....just like grandmothers.... second time we had country fried steak and catfish dinner, again amazing food....service makes you feel right at home. The deserts are to die for. Sweet tea never ending.

    Every meal I have eaten at the Mason jar has been excellent. I have enjoyed their food from the time they opened which I think is about 4 years maybe five. The owners are personable and very friendly and the service is good. I highly recommend anyone try it at least once because if you go one time you'll start going all the time.
