Boxcar Betty's

Ordered TO GO: Boxcar grilled, Boxcar Fried, Make your own, handcut fries, sweet potato fries, peach slaw, fried pickles. Everything but the peach slaw was on point! Yummy. ( slaw lacked flavor and was weirdly packed in a paper disposable open top lid coffee cup )
4 stars because of lack of flavor in the slaw AND it was GROSS???? watching the register girl, between ring ups, pick on someones ????fries both the hand cut and sweet potatoe fries were being nibbled on * fries were located on the platform were orders were being packed from!

Excellent! Classic boxcar chicken sandwich. Have to say I am not sure I have ever had a better chicken sandwich. The sweet potato fries were phenomenal as well! Will be back.

The best fried chicken sandwiches ever. Consistently awesome quality. Love their commitment to antibiotic-free and composting. So convenient to have a location in Mt Pleasant now.

The definition of good, quick, food. Establishment was very clean and service was excellent. Easy parking and lots of space to sit and eat or grab quick takeout.
Highly recommend if you have family visiting and even if you aren't a fan of some of the items that make up the "signature Boxcar Betty" I promise you it's worth a try.

On my first visit I got the Boxcar and a large fry. The sandwich was very good. The fries were good but a large is way too much for one person. The small and large boxes they have on display are a bit misleading! On my second visit I had the Buffalo. I'm not sure if the sandwich was made incorrectly but there was nothing 'buffalo' about it. No spice and very little sauce. As a plain chicken sandwich it was good but not what I was thinking. Had a small fry this time and it was still a lot of fries. The staff is very friendly.
