Chicken Salad Chick

I love this place and I wanted to give it 5 stars but I couldn’t because I have eaten here 4 or 5 times for lunch and the last 3 times the “toast” part of my sandwich has been toasted but soggy. Sounds odd but it’s almost like it’s toast that was pre-made and sitting. The place is crazy busy at lunch with call in orders and a long walk-in line so maybe they make the toast in advance. Either way, it is definitely not fresh which is why they got 4 instead of 5 stars. Otherwise, the tomato soup is great and tastes super fresh. The dill chicken salad is my fav. It has lots of dill and cucumbers in it. They have lots of different variations of chicken salad available— some with fruit(grapes, lemon), nuts(pecans) and herbs (dill). You can get just 1 or 2 scoops of chicken salad or a sandwich. They also have sides available. Every order comes with a little cookie that is so yummy and light! This place is great and I recommend it highly if you are a chicken salad lover. They do have grilled cheese if you are not.

I was flying back to MD from Charleston and these ladies made sure I would be able to get my precious cargo back with no problems. Thanks again!

UPDATE: Summer, the GM, contacted me first thing yesterday and went above and beyond to resolve the issue with the catering order to my company's satisfaction. After talking to Summer, I would use them again for catering (I never stopped eating there on my own) knowing that they will correct anything that you are not happy with. I'm changing from 3 stars to 5 stars.

If you go in to the shop and get a sandwich, it's very good. If you're doing catering however, I would pass. I went for lunch with a co-worker, and got the chicken salad on a croissant. The croissant was huge and stuffed with chicken salad. the side of broccoli salad was delicious and they gave you a little cookie for dessert. it was so good, we thought to we would get them for catering for the office.

The catering however, was not very good. They were mini croissant chicken salad sandwiches and there was hardly any chicken salad on them, it was just basically all croissant. Most of them didn't get eaten, people just ate the sides.

I called to let them know, and they said that they were sorry and offered us half off on another catering order. I told her that this one was so bad, that we wouldn't order from them again. They said that they would talk to the general manager and figure out a way to make us happy. that was over three weeks ago, and I've yet to hear back from them.

Great food and friendly staff. So many flavors of chicken salad so it's hard to decide on one. Get a trio and try three!!!

Super nice, courteous, friendly, patient, helpful staff. Very clean and a delicious variety of chicken salad choices. We will go back!
