Mex 1 Coastal Cantina

I love this little chain!! My sister and I were looking for a nice place with margaritas. The food was fantastic, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was awesome. I'd definitely make this a regular spot if I lived in the area.

Very nice place. Our server was the sweetest, bummed we didn't remember his name. I'd definitely go back here for sure. Margarita's are soo good!!!

The food at this particular Mex1 is not good. Lacks flavor, poorly prepared, and overall underwhelming. Which is odd, because the one on Sullivan’s is good! Very disappointed in the food. If you want great tasting Mexican food, go across the street to Carmen y Juan’s.

Mex1 is good for a drink/atmosphere. But that’s about it. Other reviews on here really show how little people know about good food.

Wonderful food. Don't go expecting rice-n-beans as your side dish. This place creates awesome flavors. Go and enjoy.

Yum! Great array of genuine Tex-Mex food. Fun drinks and atmosphere. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely a family/sports place. TVs placed everywhere. They were quite willing to change the channel of one TV so we could watch a Michigan State game. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars--the place is really LOUD. High ceilings with no sound absorption. If you are a family, you won't have to keep the kids under noise control. But it's not a place for a quiet, romantic dinner.
