Palmetto Islands County Park

There is an excellent playground plus an observation tower that doubles as a playground. There are gorgeous walkways and excellent picnic areas. Didn't get a chance to really check it out but they have peddle boats and a water park.

If you want to feel like you're right in among the living wildlife of the low country, visit one of these county parks. This one in particular, will thrill you to no end. You will walk right through the center of a living, thriving Marsh ecosystem. You can even rent a rowboat to commune even closer with nature. After that, stroll over to the water park to cool off and grab a bite to eat. A great place to spend the day with your family.

This is one of my favorite parks ever!!! Great observation tower, play area for the older kids and the younger kids. Great fishing area, canoes, paddle boats, awesome trails, and the funniest almost tame squirrels.

We love this park! The water park is fun and clean . The observation tower gives stunning views of the marsh and creek. We like going on family bike rides through the trails because of the multiple restroom stops along the way are great for kids.

This is a great park to hangout and spend time with the family! We went during June.

Key Notes:
- It does cost to get into the park, a few dollars per person
- Water park inside the park itself
- Walking trails, all but the trail that you take a wooden bridge to get to are good to take a stroller on. The one trail that you take the bridge has so many roots that it makes it an uncomfortable ride for the children.
- Bring sunscreen and bug spray during the warm months
- There are area's for kids to play, one particular one has a huge tree house that gives you a great view of the marsh when getting to the top.
- Most of the trials are covered with shade so you tend to be put of the sun.

Go and try this place out, it's a great time outdoors.
