SO GOOD. Super friendly and helpful if you're building your own bowl. Haven't had a bowl yet that wasn't amazing. Worth the drive from wherever you are and worth the wait of the is one. Highly highly recommend. I'd give more than 5 stars if capable.
Soo yummy! The build your own grit bowl is amazing, and filling.
Went here while traveling through, and I'll dream about those grits the rest of my life. Seriously, this food is the best I experienced in Charleston, and I :almost: tried it all.
The BYOB option kicks the Grit Counter into a whole new league and MY Favorite go to for creative grits! I haven't tasted anything yet that I didn't love. Wish it was open for Breakfast too! With so many different options, you can eat here for an entire month and never have the same combination once!
If you don't go with one of the Signature Grit Bowls- the Sig. Shrimp N Grits, Harvest or Southerner are my favorites.
Then...
MY FAVORITE BUILT S&G BOWL consists of the Smoked Gouda Grits fixed with Fried Brussel Sprouts and Heirloom Tomatoes, sauced with Local Beer Mustard Sauce, topped with Fried Green Tomatoes and Grilled Local Shrimp.
ANOTHER GREAT BUILT S&G DISH-- Jalapeno Cheddar Grits fixed with Butter Beans and Roasted Corn, sauced with Brussels Pesto Cream & topped with Fried Local Shrimp.
WOW! Amazing lunch! I had grits with grace and the hubs had the true southerner. Shared a bowl of she crab soup. Excellent!
