My husband and I ate at Manjar Latino Restaurant on 10/2, their first full day of being opened. The food was great! Everything was fresh, tasted awesome and there was a good selection. My husband had a rib-eye that was cooked properly and tasted great - very juicy and flavorful. We got the shrimp appetizer in lobster sauce and the shrimp were large, plump and flavorful. I ate from the buffet - black bean & rice with a great flavored shredded beef entree that included peppers. Their potato salad was very interesting and very good.
The restaurant itself is spacious and allows for social distancing. Bar seating was available and a great selection of liquors. The music was also appealing.
My only suggestions... more English speaking or bilingual servers. Our server spoke no English, and the manager had to translate our order to her, including our drink order. Also, when they ran the credit card, they didn't leave it open to allow for tipping the server. We had to run our card twice to leave a tip. I would also suggest a fully bilingual menu, because the manager had to interpret it for us, because very few items were explained or described in English.
I want to see this restaurant succeed. It's a great location and we've been waiting for a year and a half for it to open.
