Sunny's Donuts

Such a SUPER friendly staff!! This was my 1st visit here. I really wanted a fruity pebble donut(main reason I stopped) they were our but offered to make me 2! YASSSS!!! Everything looked amazing and is so delicious!!

Wonderful Donuts! The story has it, that "Sonny" makes all the donuts fresh each day. I can believe it, because they sure are delicious. The filled items are F-I-L-L-E-D! Not like these franchise places where you'd think it'd kill their mother if they added a decent amount of filling. In fact, with some items, the customer has a choice of fillings, and they fill it right there while you wait (like the chocolate chip log on the left if the picture). If you need any more convincing, I made a two hour round trip for the SOLE PURPOSE of getting some if these donuts! The donuts at the top of the picture didn't travel so well on my motorcycle, but they were still yum yummy. For reference, the box is about 15" wide. When you get there, yes, it's at/in a gas station convenience store.

We have finally found a GREAT donut shop in SC! Fresh, soft, flavorful donuts - the fritters are awesome! A nice couple runs the gas station/store/donut shop combo. So friendly and gracious.
We can't stand the commercial donut shops - Sunny's surpasses them all!

Best. Donuts. Ever. Found this place on Google and we've stopped in several times since discovering it in February. Always fresh donuts, great service, and reasonable prices. I love Sunny's!! I only wish I didn't live 2.5 hours away!

We were traveling to Gastonia and decided to make a pit stop and we just so happen to come up to this place. We kept seeing the signs of the best donuts or whatever and they weren't lying! The donuts are amazing especially if you catch them when they're freshly made. I'm definitely going to go to this place again if we happen to pass by it!
