Carmine's Trattoria

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. We were glad to run into this gem.

Had the chicken parmesan. I'm a big CP eater. The fault I had with the marinara sauce. It seemed to burn my mouth. Too much salt? Restaurant is a local favorite, next time something with a different sauce.

What a nice surprise to find this treasure. Food was terrific and atmosphere was very relaxing. Service a little slow but very professional. If you're ever in Walterboro, you should give it a try.

Third visit to Carmine's Trattoria, Walterboro, SC in three years. The hospitality, warm character and charm are always as wonderful as their great meals and service. Not just a place to eat, you feel right at home and welcome with the city's administrators, local families and and travelers like us and impressed by the politeness of the servers.

Traveling up or down the I95 corridor, Carmine's is 5 minutes away and a great experience .

Before the real review, I just need to say that this place needs a website. Post your menu online.

To be honest, I was surprised. This place feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. The menu is limited, but the food was surprisingly good. The wait staff was a little disorganized. Two people took our drink orders, a third one brought the drinks. We asked for the salad to come out with the main, which I think confused them, because the salad never came out. That actually worked out for us, because there was so much food, we didn't need it. Saved us 5 bucks.
