Middleton Place Restaurant

Re lunch. Decent, well prepared southern fare. Don't expect any bargain, here. The best bet: the buffet, which is a sampler of southern cuisine (about $22). Service: just OK (relative to a high end restaurant).

The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable, the views are great, and the food and is spectacular!

My hubby and I have been here several times now and we've never been let down! If it's fall or spring, I recommend starting with the wine stroll, then having dinner at the restaurant. Such beautiful gardens, followed by such a delightful dinner - made our evening out a treasure!

I had the Shrimp & Grits - YUM!!! And the hubby had the catch of the day - Wreck Fish...also YUM!! Wrap it all up with the Hugenot Tort or the Chocolate Tart. So good! Yum!! You will not be let down!

One of the best hidden gems in the low country. Plan to make reservations a few weeks in advance for dinner. It over looks a pond and beautiful garden. The she crab soup is creamy and delicious, scalloped have the perfect texture and silky and smooth. For entrees ask your server for fish and meat of the day. We had the ribeye and halibut which were both succulent and amazing. Nothing is over $30.

My wife and I have been on several occasions now and it has become one of our favorite places to dine. The atmosphere and view are great. The staff are always knowledgeable of the menu and are super friendly! Everything we have eaten has been wonderful and well worth the price, which I think is very reasonable. Locally sourced food that is either raised or grown at Middleton or from other local farmers is nice as well.

The dinner at the restaurant will be a spectacular end to the day spent enjoying the Middleton Place plantation, house and gardens. Starting with perfect pieces of two kinds of bread, and continuing to She-crab soup appetizer and chef's choice of sea bass you will be delighted by perfect taste and beautiful presentation of the food. The window views of the gardens will complete this incredible experience
