Big Mama's Country and Soul

My family and I had breakfast here after finding out it had opened. Everything was great! I had the buttermilk pancakes, scream bled eggs and sausage. I sampled the grits and biscuits as well. There was not one bad item on the menu and the service was excellent. I would happily go back again soon.

Excellent service along with excellent food!! Have eaten here twice, and gotta say hands down BEST home cooking I've eaten from a restaurant in a very long time!! The chicken fingers are awesome!! The chicken bog, potato salad, and collards were absolutely delicious!!
Extremely courteous and polite employees!!

Just a few comments that might help improve the experience

1. Hamburger steaks should be hamburger steaks not hamburger patty and thin . The patty was very small about the size of a burger . Go up on price and give a nice rolled hamburger steak . The small patty was good but just not what you expect in a hamburger steak especially for a man

2. The catfish dinner was $13.99 and got 1 small piece of catfish for that price and 2 sides . For a man , this piece of catfish was not near enough . Piece was small for the price .

3. I would suggest go up in price , give better portions . Food cost should be 33% not 20 % as in the catfish dinner . Men like portions .

4. Cobbler was cold should be hot .

These are all comments from an X restaurant entrepreneur. People don’t mind paying more to get enough to eat . Food was good .

Stopped in for lunch to support our new local restaurant. This restaurant just opened and people in our community have commented about the good food, we needed too try for ourselves. Inside has ample room and the colors are very clean and inviting. Food is good and reasonably priced and plenty to fill the belly. Fish sandwich and oyster po boy very tasty. My boyfriend and I both really enjoyed our meals! He got a burger with fries and I got a catfish sandwich with coleslaw. Very good! It’s so nice to have a restaurant nearby! We will be back!
