Hopsewee Plantation

We had a fabulous time at Hopsewee Plantation! The grounds and buildings were terrific and the guides were some of the best we've ever had! Thanks Bambi and Vinie, you were both very informative and easy to interact with! We enjoyed the house tour and the museum more because of you both! We had the tea service at the café to celebrate my daughter's birthdays, and it was wonderful! Thank you to all the wait staff for their terrific service! Thank you all for the accommodation of a mobility challenged person! We highly recommend this as a place to visit!

Amazing place and tour. The guide was so polite and knowledgeable. Was like stepping back in time. Enjoyed myself immensely! The tea and lunch was delicious.

I visited on a spectacular day the weekend after Thanksgiving with my senior parents who have limited mobility. We enjoyed a perfect day visiting the new museum, taking both the Gullah and the house tour as well as having a fantastic late lunch at the tea room. I highly recommend spending a day at this stunning property and learning from the well informed staff and owners. My parents were able to manage well enough on the grounds using a rolling walker and canes. The food in tea room was top notch, reasonably priced with pleasant service. Enjoy a day stepping back in time and learning about the history of the plantation and people who left their mark on this land.
