At 930 pm. Music level was just right to hold a normal dinner conversation. Staff was happy and attentive. Greens were crisp. We ordered the steak and ale pie with kabobs and sausage rolls. The food came out pretty quick. The quality was Supreme. Presentation was top notch . The owner was present and very attentive to the customers. I would recommend coming here as either dinner spot or hang out.
First time here since they took over from SWC and it was an excellent experience. Service was very attentive and served quickly. I had a Scotch egg for an appetizer and lamb chops for my main course and the lamb was especially good. The owner came over after we finished and he was glad we had a good time. He informed that they serve either a full or half English breakfast after they open at 11am each day including Sundays. We will be back Yo!
Had a very good dinner with friends last night at Smugglers Den.
The Steak and Ale Pie was great. A different take on Shepherds Pie. Instead of topped with Potatoes it was in a puff pastry.
Our friends had the Fish and Chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and the chips are homemade.
The owner stopped by to check on our meal and appreciated us dining at the restaurant.
Great spot
On the fence... Fish and chips where good, good portion size for me. The steak was unseasoned. If that's what you like then... My SO wanted a bit more flavor in it.
They're just getting started so will probably get things sorted as time goes on.
Just had dinner at Smugglers Den. Wanted to try it and see how it had changed since it was Salt Water Creek . The owner has done an amazing job with renovations. It looks terrific. Our appetizers and dinners were also outstanding. The prime rib is the best I've ever had. Slow cooked. Tender and absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be back. Give it a try. So delicious!!
