This restaurant made up for the bad experience my wife and I had the previous night at another restaurant. Our waitress was real nice and very fast. The restaurant looks out on the water and so the scenery was good while we ate. The food was also excellent. I had the shrimp tacos and my wife had the fried shrimp. Some of the best shrimp we've had. I don't normally write reviews, but I want people to know that this is a great restaurant and is worth going to if you're in that area.

Capt Juel's Hurricane Restaurant is a hidden gem a bit off the tourist route but well worth the trip. We are always looking to try new places while we are on vacation and stumbled on a great find. At first prices seemed a bit on the high side $24.95 for stuffed flounder and shrimp and grits, but that was before we got them. Our waitress Heidi was a perfect example of southern charm and hospitality. Our meal started with the BEST HUSHPUPPIES that we have ever had. We then had a large salad with mixed greens, tomatoes and homemade croutons. Our meal arrived and the portions are huge and come with a side choice of potato or vegetable. As much as we wanted to we were only able to get through half of our entree as we were stuffed. *If you are local note that it can be lunch for the next day! From the outside you would never expect the high quality of food that you are going to receive at this quirky restaurant. From beginning to end we were pleasantly surprised and will be making Capt Juel's Hurricane Restaurant one of our regular stops while visiting Myrtle Beach.
