Chianti South

We have lived in Sunset Beach for over 20 years now, and Chianti South is our favorite restaurant in a 50 mile radius. The food is par excellent as is the service from making reservations to dessert and coffee at the restaurant. We LOVE the setting nestled in an area of magnificent ancient live oak trees which are visible through large windows at your dining table/ need to request these tho several available. There is a set aside room available for small family or other gatherings. Special gourmet wines are available for those who enjoy those. Had dinner there last eve: 9/14/21 - and will return !! Weekends : reservations are a must!

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Not overly loud despite several large groups in the restaurant. Staff was welcoming and the meal was not rushed. Had ample time between courses so you didn't feel like everything came at once. Will definitely return.

Place is very nice, but the waitress we got was terrible. She never told us about the specials for that night, we heard them from another server when she was telling her guests. Our server had no personality at all, and was always in a rush. It took us over an hour to get our dinner. People that were sat way after us got there meals faster.

What a great place!!! Excellent food, drinks, ( thanks to Mark the bartender!) and met some down to earth awesome people! Will definitely be back, I believe it's my new "go to" restaurant.

This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area. We had their house specialty veal chop which was off the charts, perfectly cooked and tender. The clams casino appetizer was the real deal, well seasoned and authentic. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing could be improved as it tasted like they just drenched the salad with vinegar with no olive oil or spices. The house made canollis were excellent. The service was professional, and attentive. The restaurant needs a refreshing. We will be back for sure.

We love Chianti South. The atmosphere, service, and the food, always top notch. Anything you order will be good. We have never been disappointed.
