Hook & Barrel

New to Myrtle Beach, my mom and I were looking for a restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious seafood. At Hook and Barrel, not only were both of those aspects delivered but we had the best customer service. Our server’s name was Dave, he was funny, attentive, and went the extra mile to make sure our meal and experience was nothing short of memorable. If you ever have the chance to dine at Hook and Barrel ask for Dave and you are in for delectable seafood and great dining experience for the whole family. I cannot give this place or Dave enough praise!

We picked this place because they take reservations and they had great reviews. So much nicer to walk right in to a table instead of the typical 1-2 hour Myrtle Beach restaurant wait. We really liked everything about this place from the decor to the wine list to the environmental friendliness and especially the food and service. The owners are apparently wine connoisseurs and they had a great selection on the menu. My 6 year old nephew said he would give the restaurant a 5-star review just based on the waitress alone, because she was very friendly and attentive.

I thought I was going to Croissants for a quick breakfast before leaving MB Sunday morning. Turns out, we were directed to the attached Hook & Barrel for a sit-down brunch. Gr8! I wanted to eat there anyway. My, my, what a treat. We elected to sit on the porch, but man is it beautiful on the inside too. The service was top-notch, the food delicious, & the price on point. I will definitely return for dinner. The food is presented beautifully, & tastes just as good. I got the delicious granola/yogurt, my friend got the eggs, bacon, & potato casserole & of course a croissant..sublime.

One of the best seafood restaurants in Myrtle Beach. Serving sustainable fish selections on their catch of the day. Several options available for how the fish is prepared. I was impressed by the enthusiasm and helpfulness of the staff. Their paella is prepared more like jambalaya and worth a try. Well worth the 45 minute wait to seat a party of six at their peak dinner hour.

The food here is absolutely phenomenal. I wish I knew about this place sooner. This has been, by far, my best experience at a restaurant. Food is on point, the customer service is on point, the presentation is absolutely amazing, and they even have a custom Bloody Mary bar. I wish I could rate this higher.
