The best breakfast and lunch restaurant on the beach. From the time you walk in you will notice how clean the restaurant's are. Next everyone working there is beyond nice and personable. Menu is up next wow something for everyone from pancakes to waffles to omelets and sandwiches. Fresh ingredients and homemade goodness. Ok now the food being brought to your table is next and the presentation is great and the portions are very generous. I know a big part of there success is a owner is always there and even walks around checking on there customers. We have tried many many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the Cinnamon Waffle just fluffy and perfectly cooked. You won't be disappointed at Johnny D's.

The wait is worth it. They said 35 min for the two of us, but it was only 15-20. The salmon Benedict with capers was phenomenal...so many of the right flavors in every bite. The corn beef hash was delicious. We shared the red velvet waffle--so fluffy and incredible. Service was decent.

Johnny D's is great breakfast spot. Came here twice while on vacation and enjoyed waffles and a Benedict. The food is very good quality and the service is great! It is very popular and would recommend checking in online to cut down on your wait time.

We tried several different waffles includig the Red Velvet and Chicken and Waffles. They were very tasty and a good way to start our day.

The wait time was definitely worth it! Everything was delicious & came out fast. I got the vegetarian omelet, best omelet I've ever had! The toast was on point, never have I ever ordered toast from a restaurant & it come out perfectly toasted, still warm & with the right amount of butter! The mimosas were perfectly made too! If we would have discovered this place earlier on our trip, we would have gone more than once! This place is killing it!!

Johnny D’s is the best breakfast place in the world! Well, at least between Ohio and SC! My wife and I now say “I hear Johnny D’s calling our name.” That’s a hint we need a vacation and a great breakfast! Great Waffles, and the bacon and eggs are good too. I really need to try their pancakes and other stuff but its really hard not to get a waffle ????????! We got to speak with Jamie the chef and owner this last visit, she went around to every table and personally asked if everything was good. And she personally checked us out when we we’re leaving, jumping in where needed. She is very nice and friendly, as is all those that wait on you. You can tell she is not just an award winning chef but a respected leader. While other restaurants seem below average and mundane in the area...no wonder this sticks out from all other places at Myrtle! Until the next time we hear “Johnny D’s calling our name!”
