The Grumpy Monk Carolina Forest

This is one of the best places around the area. I was here for my birthday about two weeks ago.The food was served quickly and hot. The menu is very tasteful and presented well. Happy hour was great and our waiter was extremely friendly and made sure our every needs were met ! I would definitely recommend.

For the first time, it was pretty good. I'm from Buffalo so I expected with the owner from that area also to have Buffalo wings. They do not. I didn't care for the wings being smoked but it's all in what you're used to sometimes. The buffalo chicken Wing dip was very good. Our waitress was awesome. She had a great personality.

I can't remember the name of the sandwich I ordered but my sandwich was so good and just how I like it with lots of layers. Me and my step dad traded a sandwich so we could see how each others taste, both were good.. Staff was nice, place was clean, and the environment was a chill environment. Not pricey at all. I will be back.

I'm giving it a four instead of five stars I got some of the waitstaff clearly did not seemed enthusiastic about dealing with dogs on the patio, but I appreciate their policy of allowing dogs. The food's good, the happy hour is good and I believe it's 7 days a week, they brought her pop a bowl of water immediately, and as I said I appreciate the pet inclusive policy. They should probably work a little bit on a signing wait staff and make sure that people that are assigned to the patio really like pets. That is my only criticism.

I absolutely love this place! I've been here several times over the past few years that I've lived in the area. My family came to visit 2 years ago and I brought them here. They fell in love with it. Now, whenever they come, they say, I don't care where we go during our visit, but we have to go to grumpy monk at least once! Great food, great atmosphere, great service.
