OMG, one of N. Myrtle Beach's premier eateries doesn't even have a sign. A retired international airline pilot, I've dined all over the Americas and the Caribbean, and before today would've have told you the best Cuban food can be found in Miami or Manhattan.

Cuba has now taken the pole position, in my book.

Granted, the immaculate interior might be in part owed to how new this place is; but, neatness and attention to detail is everywhere. Windows sparkle, ceiling vents are freshly-painted, hanging patio lighting has been woven with ivy, the window frames are artfully lined with LED lights. The first scent is one of Fabuloso, the popular cleaning agent. A small conversation pit hints of the capacity to host private parties. Curiously, the large commercial sign feature from a previous restaurant out front is blank on both sides. Perhaps this is a blessing: this place could be overwhelmed if word of it gets out too rapidly at the expense of quality.

First to the table was their mixed salad, big enough to provide a small salad to four diners. Eight tomato half-slices arrayed around a large mound of shredded lettuce that had been tossed in a delicate vinegarette. One of our party ordered the papa rellena de carne molida, like a croquette filled with mashed potato and bits of ground beef. It came with a portion of green dipping sauce that hinted of cilantro, a delicious addition. I was served the pollo al horno, baked chicken so juicy and tender it literally fell off the bone. I spooned some red beans over it for even more flavor, a wonderful pairing. The chef later explained that he rubs the chicken and lets it sit for several days; then, it spends an entire morning in the oven to achieve perfection. One of our party had the costilla de cerdo, a Cuban take on BBQ pork ribs, rich in flavor and falling off the bone. Their plantains were dark and moist, as good as any I've had in Puerto Rico, the surrounding islands. My wife, carnivore extraordinaire, the bistec encebollado de cerdo, a fine pork steak smothered in onions, and spent the whole meal making everyone sample the caramelized onions, noting their amazing flavor.

For dessert, we shared a pair of flans, rich and dense.

Personal attention was constant, from the owner to chef, to server.

I can hardly wait to step through this menu, trying each and every offering. Cuba has knocked it out of the park in a most unlikely location!

I absolutely loved everything about this place. I was a little skeptical, but you must come to this restaurant. I had the pleasure of visiting Cuba several years ago and this was about as authentic as it gets! The service was amazing and so was the food. Food was served quickly, was hot and delicious. Very nice flavors. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and kind. I was really hoping to get a good authentic mojito, but they just received their liquor license today, so it will be a couple weeks before they will have the bar open. The atmosphere is great with Cuban artists music playing and an absolutely charming atmosphere. This is a must go to in North Myrtle Beach! I am SO looking forward to returning.

Ate there today! The server hadn't arrived yet and the owner was incredibly nice. He and the cook took my order. The food was super fast and AMAZING!!! A punch of savory flavor in each bite. Incredibly authentic and you can seriously taste the love in each bite. My mother and I got the stewed chicken with red beans and rice and beans, Cuban sandwich, side of tostones, and rice pudding. Watermelon water to drink.. so fresh!! AMAZING!! ALL OF IT!!

Don’t judge this book by it’s cover… yes it’s an old Hardee’s building, but Cuba sports a beautiful interior with great food.
We sampled lots of things today for lunch: chicken, pork, yucca, stuffed potato, tamales, rice & beans, plantains, and some super good fruit drinks and a Cuban coffee. Most of our food was wonderful, well seasoned and delicious. Pork was flavorful, but a little dry and rice wasn’t as fresh as we had hoped. The chicken was ++
Service was good, language was a slight issue, but we worked around it.
Prices are average, Appetizers were reasonable. Portion sizes were smaller than I’m used to, but enough. I didn’t leave hungry. I want to come back and try the beef w/rice. Looked great, as did the Cuban sandwich.

My experience in this restaurant was incredible and I would like to share it. If you are looking to spend a pleasant time with your family, take your partner out for dinner or taste delicious Cuban food, this place is the right one. They have taken great care to transmit the authentic Cuban style , from the music to the beautiful decoration. The food was delicious, from the entree the entrance , the dessert and the juices. I will definitely return in the future. This type of business where details are taken care of fills my heart with joy. They will be very successful.
