Our party got out late and missed the all-you-can-eat crab leg dinner so we headed to the Flying Fish after a quick Google search. I don't give 5 Stars often so 4 is a lowball number after one visit. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and they were open late, for me, which was really great. Five others having an array of appetizers, a variety of food and different drinks and we were all impressed by the staff. I live locally stand for a tourist place I was totally impressed

Great selection of fresh fish, which the waitress explained was all "boat to table in 48 hours". Best part of this dining experience was the waitress. She was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the menu, and able to give recommendations. The complimentary fish dip and crackers, coconut crusted shrimp, roasted red pepper soup, she crab soup, and tile fish were all excellent and tasty. Kids also have an opportunity to throw a whole fish to a chef behind the fish counter (big perk for kiddos!).

Want fresh seafood while at Myrtle Beach? Look no further! Fly Fish offers a huge selection of fresh fish from snapper, to grouper, to swordfish with a range of different preparation styles (i recommend their signature crushed goldfish with jalapeno) and sauces. The restaurant is family friendly, but also has a sizable bar if you're looking for more of that type of atmosphere.

Their menu also offers a variety of other dishes in addition to their fresh fish selection. Their food and service were very good and the food came in a timely manner.

I gave it 4 stars for two reasons. The first is my daughter's kids hamburger was VERY overcooked (i was impressed though that it was clearly fresh meat and not a frozen patty). The second downside was that it was very loud inside, and this is just due to the openness and size of the facility. These aren't things that would stop me from visiting again.

If you want great fresh seafood at a decent price (fresh fish platter was about $25) at Myrtle Beach, check out Flying Fish!

Flying Fish is a must stop if you are in North Myrtle Beach and near Barefoot Landing. Service is excellent, the food is always fresh and cooking is consistent. Never had a bad meal here yet whether it is take out, lunch or dinner! They usually have a catch of the day- grouper, swordfish, snapper, etc. The beer, wine and cocktail menu is extensive. It is nice to have options for pairings with your fish and seafood. If you are looking to get fresh seafood, definitely stop here!

Not many negatives with my visits here. The only thing I can think of is parking in Barefoot Landing can be horrendous on weekends during peak hours. I had to park pretty far away for dinner one time. Not the restaurant's fault, but something to think about if you have kids or a large group.

The three of us went for happy hour and dinner followed. The oysters looked delicious and they were nice and fresh. The peel and eat shrimp were cooked perfectly and the ribs were delicious. We had the fish of the day.... Tile fish. It was good but a little dry. We had it grilled which was probably not the best choice but it was still enjoyable. We go to flying fish almost every time we are in Myrtle Beach. Have the red sangria it is very good!
