Recommendations of the red velvet waffle (soft, flavorful), cinnamon bun waffle (amazing blend of waffle and a desert), and brisket skillet (spicy but so savory) were on point. We also had coffee, espresso, and a refreshing blueberry smoothie which was very enjoyable after the brisket skillet. I saved the cinnamon bun waffle for desert with coffee and it was delicious. Even our leftovers were enjoyed! Excellent beverages and food! Add more parking. Haha
Crystal the server was THE BEST EVER! I used to wait tables and she was on point. Waters always topped off, checked in on us, great attitude, knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. Will definitely go back next time we visit. Awesome menu! Awesome service
Pretty great breakfast place! Not revolutionary food, but better than most diners. They do have some really crazy waffles and decent coffee (they aerate their iced coffee which is pretty neat), but their hash browns are only okay. They have a ton of options on their menu, would recommend!
The red velvet waffle was to die for. Best I’ve ever had. It was so soft and full of flavor. I also ordered the shrimp and crab omelet which was amazing. The grits were okay, a little too grainy for me. Breakfast margarita was very yummy.
Customer service was excellent (thank you Courtney for your promptness and recommendations) and the food came out quick and hot! Definitely will be back.
We did online check-in ahead of time and it was the right choice, as this place was packed and moving hungry people in and out at top speed and there was quite a line of waiting people sitting and standing outside. We felt special being ushered in after only about a five minute wait when it was clear others had been and would be waiting much longer.
We were led to our table amidst a tight sea of tables; they are making the most of every square inch here, and since we looked agog at the lavish menu our waitress took our drink orders and left us to puzzle over our breakfast selections. By the time she returned with drinks we were ready to order.
We sipped fresh coffee delivered in a sharable carafe and soon our food arrived. I had been craving a bagel for days, so instead of the namesake waffle I got a house-made bagel sandwich with fried egg, ham, and Gouda. The bagel was not up to New York style, but was fine for what it was. Hubby had a huge omelet with pancakes as a side, and our friend was the only one to actually get the famous waffles. Everyone was happy with their choices, though hubby pointed out the pancakes were not as good as Carolina Pancakes', so I reminded him this is not Johnny D's Pancakes.
We left full and happy. One day I may try the waffles, but that is something I consider more a dessert than a meal, and as they close around 2pm, maybe not. But it's a place I feel comfortable recommending, especially if you do the online check-in.
