Great hot food. Wonderful hospitality. Clean restrooms. Near the Gettysburg military cemetery and museum. Easy highway access. Also GAS stations are close.
Okay place food was good. Only one seems to be trying to get the orders out jumping from one station to the next is the young manager. The wait was worth the good hot food though so not complaining but don't try to go on a 30 minute lunch break and go to this McDonalds you won't make it back and be able to eat your lunch.
I visited here, and I loved it.
It wasn't the food (I only got coffee, in fact). Nor were the staff particularly friendly, or the location particularly scenic, or the dining room particularly enjoyable. Sure, the place was comfortable enough, and clean, and no one gave me a hard time or anything; but, what I loved about my time there was, simply, the experience itself -- the basic, universal joy of going out and Doing Something, regardless of that activity's complexity or novelty or expense. Which is to say, I loved just lounging around an everyday McDonald's with my fellow man, sipping coffee and reading a book and doing my thing -- just Being, the way a tree might. Approached this way, my McDonald's visit was every bit as fulfilling and memorable as a sky-dive. How cool is that? The power of love, I guess.
So, I'd like to extend my thanks to all the good folks at the Surfside McDonald's, for providing me this cherished experience. I'm sincerely grateful for your work and service.
