“Rodney's is my new favorite barbecue place in Camden. This was my first visit so I thought I would start with my favorite, the pulled pork sandwich, and it was a great sandwich. I tried all three of the barbecue sauces. The first was a South Carolina gold mustard-based recipe that was delicious, then I tried the vinegar one which I enjoyed, but I finally settled on the red sauce that was a little tangy and a little smoky. Good stuff. Mac and Cheese was great, like grandma makes, and the pinto beans you have to try.”

“I always call in my orders which is usually the #4 I always ask for it to be soaked with vinegar and to add black olives,banana peppers and sometimes jalapeno peppers with pickles, it is always made right and I called one day to ask about salads and the owner Michelle recommended The Scrap Salad OMG it was so delicious,I think I ate off of it 3 times. “Fantastic Sunday Buffet! While the parking can be a bit of an issue, the food is worth that small hassle. All the food (and there are a ton of delicious choices!) is fresh and flavorful. I am inordinately snobbish about grits and banana pudding, Old South"s grits are above par, and the banana pudding is lick-the-bowl good. (I didn't, but I wanted to.) Their price for the buffet is very reasonable, and the friendly staff were quick to replenish items as they ran low, unlike some other local buffet options. If you're looking for a proper Southern Sunday dinner with all the trimmings, go to Old South & Catery...but save me a bowl of that banana pudding!”

“The Fish Sandwiches are AWESOME! The service was great. The kind lady with a smile brought my order to the car. I had drank my sweet tea while waiting and asked if I could get a refill willing to go in myself to get it. She smiled and said wait here I will get it for you. She went in and immediately returned with a fresh ice tea. So sweet and courteous as she went above and beyond for me. Fish was fresh, hot and delicious and the slaw fresh and quite the compliment.”

“I did a Google search for the BEST hamburgers near me, and found this GEM! Wonderful personal interaction with the owner, Cecil and her daughters. My husband and I truly enjoyed our bacon cheeseburgers and their perfect French fries. Can’t wait to try the rest of the surprisingly extensive menu. Google got it right, et we shall return.”
