Boondocks Fish Camp & BBQ

First time trying.... I love it! The food was fresh, seasoned, and not greasy. We were seated immediately, met with smiles, our glasses stayed filled. Staff was wonderful. Both my husband and I were satisfied. A cute restaurant with a lovely staff. Every waitress checked on us if they noticed our glasses were empty. An A plus!

Cute restaurant with a pretty view out back. The waitress was sweet. It was our first visit, so we tried a variety. The catfish came highly recommended , so we tried it. I didn't like it. Everything else was delicious! The scallops were the best I have had in years! They do not have sodas of any kind. Water, tea or lemonade only. The biggest issue I had was I was freezing in there. It wasn't just me. My husband is never cold, and he was cold. We really want to give it another shot, but we will dress warmer.

We were there with a large group and the place was packed. It took a little time for our food but it wasn't a terribly long wait. I appreciated the hot freshly made meal rather than the typical greasy things stuck in a warmer prior to the busy hours like many restaurants.. Everything was delicious and hot. Flounder / shrimp/perch/beans and green fried tomatoes.. also Mac n cheese ..these are what my husband and I had.. The ribs were great looking and tender per our friends. It was a great experience overall. The waitress was very attentive. What a gem in the middle of nowhere out in the boondocks:).. I live close and will be back often. If I didn't live close I would make the drive.

I’m from Mississippi and this was the best fried catfish I’ve ever eaten. The fried green tomatoes and chutney is DELICIOUS. The owners really care about service and quality of food. Make the drive - you won’t be disappointed!!

Great food and very nice place to eat. Loved the grilled scallops and fried shrimp. Some of the best mac and cheese I've had
