    I worked up a good appetite hiking the trails at nearby Lee State Park and stopped by Smoke Pit and got a pulled pork dinner that I enjoyed under a nearby shade tree. Excellent pork, hash and rice, and baked beans! And the folks working there were very friendly. I'll certainly have to eat there again the next time I'm in Bishopville!

    Second visit to Smoke Pit on 4/3, as we were passing through town. Half slab of ribs, hash and rice, and a pork sandwich. Half slab was huge, container could barely close. The sandwich was full of meat. Hash and rice was on point. ​Everything was delicious!!

    Prices are reasonable, (sandwiches are 6.00, they had a special for 5.00) portions are large and everyone is friendly.

    We will certanly stop by the next time we are in town.

    Talking about the best BBQ!!! The food is great, the customer service is phenomenal. They definitely are the master of quality and quantity, because you’re guaranteed to get your money worth. To the owners; continue to provide to us what you are giving...THANK YOU!!!

    I had the most amazing experience. The staff and cooks provide a down to earth and hometown vibe. The turkey bbq is my absolute fave!! The pork is great as well! The sides could be starters also.Their prices are really reasonable. Give the Smoke Pit a try! You will not be disappointed.

    Our family ordered a BBQ Turkey for Christmas dinner. It was ready when promised and the staff even delivered it to my vehicle during what was a very busy day for their restaurant. The turkey was a hit. Very flavorful and presented very well.

    We enjoyed it so much, that we ordered a full rack of ribs for New Year’s Day dinner. It was a hit, also. This group knows what they are doing in the kitchen! We will be more than happy to make the hour-long ride for Smoke Pit BBQ!

    Excellent service, professional staff and stellar food!
