Charlie's Fisherman's Wharf

We have driven past this restaurant more times than we can count, and always say “we need to try that place sometime” and we finally did! Service was fantastic, it was kid friendly, and very relaxed and quiet. You are technically beside the water, so there isn’t any on the water seating, but otherwise a great “lake” spot. The back deck looks like it would be a fun spot/bar at night. The food was your general seafood, nothing too extraordinary. Their homemade wing chips were delicious though, and so was their salad and homemade ranch.

They serve seafood and steaks from a simplified menu. The hamburger was big, and very tasty. They also serve a very generous sized chicken sandwich. The kids had those while I dined on a "small" seafood platter which had a very large portion of fish, oysters, scallops, and clams, all served up with plenty of hushpuppies. The service was friendly and this place qould have gotten a 5 star review if the food had been served while hot. It was not cold, but seemed to have sit for a while before it was brought out and it was just warm. Still the food was excellent and I would highly recommend this place if you're in the Lake Murray, SC area.
