Higher Ground Char House

I'll have to say we had a group of 7 and we only had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes on a Saturday night. There is a waiting area that is covered in "Turf" that kept the kids engaged while we waited. Food was great. Service was good too. Seems like we all had different items from the menu. From the flips, burgers, fish and shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and fried pickles. There is a kids menu which serves enough for kid appetites. We also had desert but got it to go. No where to put it while at the restaurant, needed to be un-stuffed first. First visit was a good one.

my grandparents and i come here often. the servers here are so sweet! burgers are super juicy and thick, lol. great place.

Loved Higher Ground Char House! We ordered the fried pickels after we ordered our entrees, because we really did not think we wanted an appetizer. We were glad we did because they were amazing! Not to much batter, and they were perfectly fried the ranch was definitely homemade, and that's a big thing for a lot of people in the South, we love our Ranch. The Burgers, which is what they are known for were awesome. I got the Cocky Doodle with the fried egg, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. My egg was a perfect over easy, which was what i requested. My daughter's burger the pimento cheese burger, the Creaky Rocker i believe was amazing per her review. She loved the 6 cheese pimento cheese. ????????????✔

Consistently the best burgers in the area. Great fries and great beer selection too. I always get the ghost pepper cheese burger... Great if you like it spicy! Staff is friendly, and service is prompt. Grab a seat early on popular nights, it can get packed fast.

Had a great evening at Higher Ground. 15yo daughter wanted to go for her birthday. Food/burgers were fantastic. Owner and staff went out of their way to make it special for my daughter. Much appreciated! Will be back again.
