Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q

We tried Willie Jewell's tonight, and it was very good! I'm not going to say this is the absolute best ribs, pulled pork, and brisket I've ever tasted, but I was certainly not disappointed. Concept wise, think Zaxbys for BBQ - with beer, and TVs, and no drive through.

I had the three meat meal, with mac and cheese, and green beans for sides. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Mom Had the pulled pork and slaw, and our oldest son had the kids PB&J and Hush Puppies. Nothing made it to the trash can but napkins and empty drink cups. Definitely a place we could put in our rotation for family dinners out.

It originally wanted to rate 3 stars. The reason I rate 4 is because of their friendly staff and clean environment.
Food is okay, my wife liked her pulled pork sandwich topped with slaw. I ordered ribs, but it was too dry and made it hard to chew. Collard greens is good.

My first time here. We were going to South Carolina and stopped for lunch. It was great, the quality and quantity of the food was great for the price. I'm from Mobile so we know good food!! We truly enjoyed our visit

I went inside to order for take out. I was greeted immediately by a smiling, polite young lady. I ordered and received my food within 10 minutes. Drove the 5 minutes home to find that I didn't receive my complete order. I was missing 1 dessert out of 2. Thankfully I wasn't charged for 2. The portion size of the one banana pudding was VERY small for the price they charge. My wings were cold. Great fries though! I would go back but maybe order something different.
