“First time here and it was really awesome! They have almost anything you could want or need from Mexico. Fruits, vegetables, drinks, dry goods, frozen and even a meat market. Pretty good prices, some things as you can imagine are more expensive than normal cause these items are coming from Mexico. The store is extremely clean and the staff is helpful. Authentic Mexican food and items!”

“Yes, their docks are very tight, you have to back up from the street, but, very helpful, polite, respectful and hardworking people. Once they had a dock for me, I was in and out within 30 minutes. Very efficient people, you can't compare to other chicken plants. 6 drivers ahead of me but I was gone within 2hrs of checking in.”

“I have read a lot of people have enjoyed this restaurant so I gave it a try. As I paid to enter I asked if they gave seniors or veterans a discount. Bom, they had one. Once inside I noticed that all the buffet tables were the same as the previous Chinese Restaurant. After my choices, I was able to taste the food. Most of my dishes were not quite up to my loving. I know there are a lot of people that really enjoy this place so maybe my selections were a different country taste than what I am used to. Positive dishes were fried chicken and wings, butterbeans and fish that was an unkown variety. The chicken salad, potato salad and other premade salads were not to my liking. The pork chop was a maybe along with the vinegar bbq. The mac & cheese was too much cheese on top and too congested on the bottom. If you love sugar, there is a tremendous dessert bar that I avoid. I’m sure some will love this place but I didn’t at 1:45 on Friday. BTW everyone was friendly.”

I was most impressed with the chicken, the fried chicken is seasoned down to the bone. I normally have to travel internationally to get the grilled chicken with Peri peri sauce that they prepare right here in SC! The first of its kind in this area! It’s so juicy, tender and flavorful and the sauce is amazing! A hidden gem! It’s a must to go check them out!”

“So... The Hideout is cool. Yummy and healthy food and drinks, really cool art, all the makings of a neat cafe. There is outdoor seating and some upstairs. This is a cool hangout and as a twenty-something, I can appreciate a lot about what this place has to offer. The thing is though, my family and I went to The Hideout for a birthday breakfast for my aunt and the service was strange. Everything was correct and quick but, kind of rigid. Bottom line is, when someone says "I've never been here before," it's cool to make some recommendations. That's why people still want local cafes and not Starbucks. Don't get me wrong, the weather this morning was yucky and I can't entirely put an establishment down for one early morning but, birthdays should be special and this morning my family felt weird. However, if you want fast service, good prices, yummy food, and incredible artwork, The Hideout is an awesome spot.”
