Chattooga River Lodge and Campground

Mat and Teresa are great hosts. Live music and great food at Willy's Tavern at the Lodge. The restaurant has added a new chef and his brisket special was amazing. We have camped there and stayed in the lodge rooms. Highly recommend either choice. Can't wait to book our next trip! Mat is very knowledgeable about the waterfalls and hiking in the area, and don't let her fool ya, Teresa is a great singer and entertainer.

I will tell you I had a great experience with my kids at your campground this week. I enjoyed talking with you both and the hospitality we received. I will definitely be back! I have camped a lot in many different campgrounds and yours was one of the best I’ve been. From great service to the lively and vibrant facilities you are doing an exceptional job. It’s just what I am looking for when I go camping, secluded and well maintained.

Excellent campground and right beside the creek. Ours had a picnic table, shelter, and electricity, all unnecessary of course, but if it rains, it’s better than stringing up a tarp. We were right next to the bath house, which was clean and air conditioned.
They have a bar with competent waitresses and even had a band that played. Close to many, many, waterfalls.

Love this place! We stayed in a Lodge room back in April, and just spent 3 nights for the 4th of July in the RV campground. Both accommodations were great! We had lots of food and drinks at the Tavern both trips. Very good food, friendly service and live music! Also a very large drink menu with full bar. The owners, Mat and Teresa are doing a great job with this place! We can't wait to go back!

Seemed like a neat place, however we were immediately told to go outside with our service dog upon entering and when we explained he was a service dog, we were told it was a food regulation.. so we simply chose to leave. Please educate your staff regarding the ADA and service dogs so that you don't open your establishment up to discrimination lawsuits. Would love to give the place another try with a more aware staff.

Edit: quick and compassionate response from the owners leaves me compelled to change my rating. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in town! Again, your place looked really cool and I failed to mention before, but came highly recommended by very dear friends who live nearby. Your response really does mean so much! So much that I feel that I have to change the original star rating to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ we very much look forward to meeting you soon so we can thank you in person! ❤️
