The food, service and cleanliness were all as I expected they would be... With one exception. For a good 15 - 20 minutes while the restaurant was packed full of people and in full view of every one of those people, one employee was standing in the back of the food prep area eating while talking with other people actually doing food prep.
what this leaves to question is;
-whether they washed their hands when they were done before they got back on the line
-what sort of risks of contamination would be the result
--is this considered acceptable practice by management and corporate
-what would food safety inspectors think
-and how would anyone reading this feel seeing that same thing while waiting for their food to be brought to the counter after prep

Please, doesn't matter what job a person has in food service.... They still shouldn't be eating within reach of food being prepared for customers.
Thankfully, this is the only time I've seen this in a McDonald's but seeing it once was more than enough

If you are inclined to order the bacon-cheesy fries...DON'T, save yourself, you will be disappointed if your experience is anywhere close to mine.

Start with not-so-fresh fries, give a good squeeze of room temp cheesy "something" with a nice double teaspoon of cold bacon bits, and the result is a gooey mess that Ray Crock would not approve of, and neither do I.

This McDonald's is the best managed one in Beaufort. There are still times, when service is slow, but that's rare. I'm talking about over the last ten years, this location is nearly always quick and courteous

I must say this is one of the better McDonald's I have visited. The people were very nice and friendly and very quick getting us our food. Thank you to the night crew here for feeding us hungry truckers in the middle of the night. Hope these guys and girls get a raise. They deserve it. The place was spotless and they were cleaning with such detail. Good job guys!! I would 10 out of 10 reccomend this McDonald's.
