So we have not ate here yet, actually waiting for a to go order now but I wanted to talk about customer service. I came in asking for a to go menu and asking if they had BBQ sandwiches and the very nice lady as the register said no but that I could fix a plate from the buffet to go. It was not what I was looking for as BBQ is done differently in AL. The lady gave me a card with the hours and I left. I was out the door and almost to my car when this other lady came out and asked me what I was looking for. I explained that we had just moved here and that BBQ was done differently in AL, on sandwiches or chopped on a plate with bread, stew etc, not a buffet with fried chicken. She asked me how many sandwiches I would like and I told her. In the few minutes that we talked she was ready and said we can do that. So she invited me back in to have a seat and she went about making us some sandwiches to go. She even came back out to make sure what we would want on them, coleslaw, pickles, etc. I haven't even had a bite of the food and I am so impressed by her customer service and her want to make a customer happy. I will write back later with info on the food. Ok bk with the food review. Wow! I posted some photos of the sandwiches we got. They were a hit at home! The sauce was sweet but not overly, I would love to try something hotter. The pork was pulled, but wasn't big hunks and was very tender. The bun was a bit thick but had a good taste and worked well with all the meat you get. I hate this place is only open 4 times a month but we will be marking it on our calendar to go back soon! Thank you to the lady who made this happen. Your service and food is unbeatable!
