My favorite lunch spot in Clemson, and people are definitely overlooking it. Their lunch menu is great, and affordable. Shrimp and grits, brisket Philly, po boy, and tacos are all great. I just wish their blt (fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese!) was on the lunch menu.

I ordered from DoorDash. I ordered the brisket w/ baked Mac and cheese and collard greens for myself and the seafood platter w/grilled shrimp for my husband. My food was excellent. The brisket was so flavorful and tender. The Mac and cheese was ok and the cornbread a little dry. The collards we're well seasoned with a little kick. But the shrimp was sad. My husband said they were good but he only got 8 little shrimp. I stopped him from making a whole bag of $5.99 shrimp just so he could get 8 little shrimp for $13.99. He said he wanted brisket next time. I will order from them again just not the shrimp.

The best BBQ that I have EVER had. The staff was so pleasant and fun to be around, the cooks too pride in their food and presentation and I was met with the most AMAZING Barbecue that I have ever had to pleasure of trying. Definitely a must.

While visiting Clemson we picked Palmetto Smokehouse to have dinner. We have never visited before and new nothing about the restaurant. What a nice surprise! I though parking might be an issue but just to the left there is a driveway/road that goes past the little store and up a hill, at top to the right there is plenty of parking and we were told we could park in the green(slightly faded) spots. Once we were in the restaurant it was early for dinner so not anyone there, around 5:30. We were waited on quickly by Brian C. He was pleasant and friendly and took very good care of us. He even refilled my tea without me having to ask. We had some left over Shrimp and grits which we asked for a box, he offered to box it up and we discovered when we got ready to heat it up later he had put additional cheese on it, nice surprise. Brian did several things that were nice touches and we really enjoyed our visit. I had the Pulled Pork dinner with collards and a loaded baked potato. Everything was delish. We would definitely recommend this place and if in the area will come again.
