Always fabulous! Love sitting at the bar. Great food, fabulous drinks, and the friendliest staff imaginable!
Rick Erwin's wants to be a high end steakhouse like Ruth Chris or Chophouse 47, but the quality is just not the same. However they charge the same prices as the real high end establishments. Their bartenders make excellent drinks but they are pricey with average cost around $9. For the Clemson area save your money and go to Calhoun Corner's or Blur Heron restaurants instead.
We can’t say enough good things about our evening at Rick Erwins. It was an A+ experience from start to finish. My husband and I were traveling from Tybee Island to Clemson to pick up a puppy from a local breeder. I researched where to eat and chose Rick Erwins. I absolutely made the right choice! I have always believed that an evening out starts with making the reservation and that was the case with Rick Erwins. I requested a quiet table since I have some hearing issues and the delightful young woman who made the reservation assured me that she could accommodate the request. We were seated at an end table and, while the restaurant was jam-packed at 7:15 on a Saturday night, we could easily carry on a conversation while enjoying our drinks and dinner. The service was outstanding, the restaurant’s atmosphere and interiors are lovely, the food was delicious and the craft drinks, suggested by our knowledgeable server, were on the mark. It is obvious that the staff are all well trained and that they enjoy their jobs. Having worked 35 years in the hospitality industry, I appreciate and acknowledge top notch service and that is what we received at Rick Erwins. If and when we return to the Clemson area, we will definitely eat at Rick Erwins again.
Absolutely fantastic. I am blown away by Ray and the General Manager. The Carrot Ginger Bisque, when they have it, is probably the best soup I have ever had. This place is one of my favorites.
First time last night and it was unbelievable. The service, the food, the drinks, all incredible. Our server Evan was incredibly friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Being my first time I asked his opinion on different drink and food pairings, and he absolutely did not disappoint. The steak and lobster literally just melt in your mouth. 15/10 highly recommend, and ask for Evan.
