Flavorshack Hot Chicken & Ribs

The food was great. Try the Mac&Cheese, potato salad, and Cajun slaw. The ribs were deliciously messy.

Food was okay, and it was clean.
Would I go back ? I don't know.
But for all you 1st timers when you go in walk to your left to place your order. This was my first time didn't know what to do. So I walked in stood at the door for a few seconds to see if someone was going to approach us or speak, when that didn't happen my son and I seated ourselves. Once we sat down then someone came over to us to let us know what we had to do. That was embarrassing! The staff seemed to be nice. If you haven't tried this place, I would suggest try it if you like ribs and chicken. My son said the chicken sandwich was better than Chic - fil-A.

Delicious!!! I see why it's called Flavorshack. Amazing flavors and you decide how much heat (spicy level). Broad menu choices for chicken: wings, sandwiches, pot pie, salad, fried, etc. I tried the chicken fried chicken with pimento cheese grits & Cajun slaw. I'm from Texas so I've had a lot of chicken fried chicken...this was one of the best I've had if not the best. Batter was super crispy and served on toast. That was a new twist. Gravy was perfect and they put enough on the chicken. And the slaw tasted like it had a bit of horseradish. Another twist. I like the variance from the norm. I did have to ask for hand sanitizer but it was available. The only thing I'd change is to not serve food on paper unless it's finger food. The gravy, along with using a steak knife disintegrated the paper and it started mixing with my food, so I had to remove the paper. It was cute, but not functional with my dish.

The first time I ate at Flavorshack I was impressed with the quality of the food. I have continued to go back and each visit has been equally impressive. This restaurant is truly a local restaurant. It is not a chain. The owner tells me that all of the food is prepared using his own recipes from scratch. I recommend the Nashville Hot tenders and waffle. The ribs are good too.
