Good food. We ate breakfast, which is a new add. Wait staff is newer, few people, laid back atmosphere. Needs more advertising for breakfast..we just drove by and found them open.
The most delicious, well prepared food I've had in a long time in a restaurant. From the appetizers to the entree, beautiful presentation and
incredible quality were abundant, with very generous portions.
Formerly a church, the building has perfect acoustics, making it possible to hear what is said by others. A huge white blank wall begs a "horsefarm" type mural.
The staff is very attentive, efficient, and welcoming.
My first visit to Cunningham’s yesterday.
PROS: Food is very good, menu is not huge but nicely varied, service is attentive, decor has a cozy feel.
CONS: Location could be challenging to find for out-of-towners, servers eager but inexperienced.
GO or NO GO: Definitely go and enjoy the good food. The daily specials are inexpensive but filling. The Drake House in Landrum is very, very good but it’s only a buffet.

My second visit last night (October 6). The trout entree ($16.95) was outstanding and highly recommended. My side items were a nice, colorful, and fresh salad and a baked potato. My only quibble with the meal was the baked potato. It wasn’t much bigger than an egg!
The restaurant wasn’t busy other than a large church party that seemed to strain the kitchen and wait staff.
I’m a fan of Cunningham’s and hope folks give it a chance. The wait staff is still learning its way but I give ‘em an A+ for effort.
