Love the Cuban and the hot dog.
I stopped for brunch today. There's a decent selection of items to choose from. The house made bacon is just weird. It's thick sliced and has more of a texture of being dehydrated, rather than baked or fried. It's just chewy, with no real flavor to speak of..a bit disappointed. I did like the mac n cheese and a smoked sausage with peppers dish. The omelet station was nice, however when I arrived the cook was supposedly getting fresh egg. There was a container of whole eggs for fried and other similar preparations. She arrived back with a container of maybe fresh eggs, but for all I know it came out of some cartoon, with a pour spout. I know this is the case everywhere. I just like to see that my eggs actually came from an egg. The roasted salmon and prime rib came in at the end and ended the experience on a high note. Would I go back? Maybe if I had other greenway activities planned, but not strictly for brunch.
Great staff, very friendly and well trained. Clean and well maintained facility. Absolutely beautiful hiking and horse trails.
Great ambience. Feels integral part of the greenway even though it was opened few months ago. Go on a hike, bike or camping then swing by to have a nice bite and a drink of the tap behind the counter. Or just hang around sitting in the porch watching kids play. I think that $5 non- member entry fee should be redeemable for food or beverage or at the gift store. However I feel this limits the number of people which is a good thing, don't want it to be overcrowded.
Greenway Gateway Canteen is part of all the Anne Springs Close Greenway Land, you have access from Hwy 21. You have to pay $5 to enter to the park (if you are not member) You cannot see it from the outside, and there is not much signing. They have a very basic menu, salads and sandwiches, breakfast is great, and the venue is supper clean (and I hope It stays clean). Very friendly staff, If you pay by Credit Card you are kind of forced to leave 18% tip at least (I have no problem since service and food are great).... Last think What an incredible bacon.!
