Empire Pizza Newport

I really wish there was an Empire Pizza my way. Unfortunately, I only get to indulge when I’m in town visiting my family. There is literally an Empire a minute away from my aunts home but I drive to this one because the food is usually better. My favorite entree’s are the Lobster and shrimp Ravioli and the Lasagna. Both come with salad and garlic knots. It is always soooo good.

I went this past Sunday and I ordered takeout. When I arrived home I opened up my plate and I noticed significantly less sauce in my ravioli. I called the restaurant and the manager informed me they ran out of the sauce and that is why there was less than I’m used to. I really didn’t understand how the cooks thought it was okay to give me a mediocre dish which is why I took off one star. Also, I feel that the Togo lady should have checked my food before giving it to me. I think she was new because every question I asked her she had to ask someone else or seemed really unsure. The manager did apologize and offer me another dish or a credit and he made it right. I ended up getting the lasagna and it was sooooo good.

I will still go to this Empire for my food when in town. However, I will thoroughly check my meal before leaving.

There was an ant in the salt. One of us didn’t get a drink (party of 8) and the waitress didn’t even notice till 6 minutes later. Food is good tho.

Went here twice in the past week to give a more accurate review. This place is great! The atmosphere, the food and the reasonable prices all make for a worthwhile lunch/dinner. The service is quick and friendly. They have a diverse menu ranging from the obvious pizza; to calzones and cold salads. I'll definitely be back again.

The pizza is pretty good for South Carolina. The other food is pretty good too. Delicious mozzarella sticks. I usually order delivery and it usually comes pretty fast and my order is usually correct. Only got the wrong food once and it was fine I just ate the other appetizer they sent us.
