The Flipside Restaurant

We came up from Columbia to meet with family from outside Charlotte. This is a nice central meeting spot for us. We love having an excuse to come to Flipside. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I recommend the Sloppy Joe. It's so good! Their bread and savory butter is really good too.

Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. I had lunch with friends. Very relaxed, no rush or pressure for us to leave. Very enjoyable. ????☺

What a delightful surprise. Sort of an adventure to find, lovely ambiance and the greater surprise is the exceptional experience of the food. Every plate was incredible, one of the best risottos in the south. Presentation is on pointe. Service is friendly and attentive but belied the gourmet quality. Nothing about the place gives any indication of the great food. Truly a hidden gem.

Great sleeper restaurant! Menu is wonderfully deceiving - dishes look simple, but are extremely well done! Things that seem common (Mac-n-cheese, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits) are all exceptionally good! Service is caring and attentive. Well worth a visit.

This was my second time dining here. Once for Sunday brunch and once for lunch. I really enjoyed my experience both times. The Flipside has a comfortable and casual atmosphere and very friendly employees. The menu is diverse and should allow everyone to find something they like. The food is excellent and the prices are very fair. My patty melt and brussel sprouts were amazing. Nice wine list. I wish their craft beer list was a little better. Highly recommended.
