The food was great. The front of house girls were lovely and helpful. The guy working back-of-house was extremely rude. We witnessed him bullying the other employees. Will not be returning.
Had 2 places we were going to try this morning and both were unexpectedly closed. Took a chance on this little place after hearing about it, yesterday.
It was cozy inside with a fireplace and several seating options.
We split a scrambler bowl and a decaf Mountain Fog. The bowl (4 eggs, sausage, cheddar, and spinach) was a good idea. Unfortunately, there was not enough sausage or spinach ($1.00 extra) to keep it interesting. The spicy Mayo was a good choice. I had never tried that before and liked the idea of it on eggs. The Mountain Fog was delicious.
Interesting decor. My only complaint about the atmosphere is that in such a cozy, comfortable hideaway, there would be such dark and disturbing images on the walls. The images of people falling into Hell, or of Alice(?) carrying a severed head, were completely incongruous with the simple Country vibe present in the rest of the Bistro.
The pizza is delicious, but very small for the price they charge. Your better off going to Spearfish Sd and getting a brew and pizza at Sawyer’s.
Delicious pizza, in a beautiful space, created by lovely folks who do what they do with intention and integrity. Thanks again!!!
Oh and the peanut butter balls are super dank:)
Update: The coffee is amazing and their daily special is sure to please!!!
This place is an absolute GEM - we couldn’t have stumbled on anything better. A cool young couple owns and runs it, their family did all the metal and woodwork, the sweets are local, their pups are adorable, they have fresh, healthy food options that are delicious, great cold brew, their decor is curated by local artists, they have a fireplace, games and a great shaded patio and drive through. BRAVO!
